AU, ETERNAL TAPESTRY, CATSKILLS presented by EOFF
EOFF announced it’s 2014 Dates – February 20-22, 2014 – but before we can savor another year of great film and music in downtown LG we need to assist the organization in growing it’s pocket book to bring about a 5th annual celebration that continues to astound.
Portland, Oregon’s AU and ETERNAL TAPESTRY will cozy up with La Grande’s Catskills on Thursday, May 23rd at The Art Center at the Old Library to present a powerhouse evening of edgy rock, experimental psychedelia, and hyper-attentive, graceful, and often fierce instrumentation of sonic and psychological terrain. The trio of cutting edge NW musicians will be heading to the Tumbleweeds of Idaho to converge with a number of other stellar musicians.

Let’s Go Camping at Wallowa Lake!
The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department proudly presents “Let’s Go Camping”, a fun-filled, weekend, overnight camping excursion for novice campers of all ages. We provide tents, sleeping bags and mattress pads for families that do not have their own to use for the campout. Let’s Go Camping has scheduled 16 weekend camping events around the state. There are ranger led interpretive activities and volunteers always on-hand to assist campers. We have lots of activities for kids and adults as well as presentations on Camping Basics, Leave No Trace, Fire Building and Safety, 10 Essentials of Hiking, and Dutch Oven Cooking. Camping in a group with staff and volunteers on hand has made this a very popular program with single parents and grandparents. There will be plenty of s’mores for everyone around the campfire.
There is a Let’s Go Camping weekend event coming to an Oregon State Park in your community this summer. The one at Wallowa Lake State Park is on August 2-4.The total cost is only $30 for the WHOLE FAMILY. You can check out our schedule at:http://www.oregon.gov/OPRD/
