“In The Beginning” shows off at EOU Spring Symposium
A test screening of the senior capstone movie written, produced, directed, and edited by Jeremiah Marshall. “In The Beginning” will premier Thursday. The film features the acting talents of Wylie Peacock, Rose Peacock, Jesse Peacock, Kelly Peacock (Wow, that sure is a lot of Peacocks!), Kelsy Carson, Saajan Chuhan, and Daniel Wagner and is a great example of how Eastern Oregon University’s Media Arts Program is making a name for itself in the state, and in the region.
“In The Beginning” is a post-apocalyptic, hero creation story that combines the naturalistic look of “Jeremiah Johnson” with the raw survival struggle of “A Boy and His Dog”.
The event will be one of many presentations at the annual Spring Research Symposium at Eastern Oregon University and will take place on Thursday, May 24th at 11:00am in Room 144 of Badgley Hall on the EOU Campas.
About the Film
In December 2012, the world ended. The hyper-deadly Khloros virus annihilated 99% of the Human race with devastating speed. One of the survivors, Ken Wright, an intelligent and physically large man, wandered into the wilderness of the Rocky Mountains.
Years have passed.
The trauma of surviving both the virus and the wilderness have taken their toll on Ken’s sanity. When his wanderings lead him to an abandoned town, can Ken keep his wits about him long enough to learn the sinister truth behind the virus?
